Do you have a vintage 8088/8086/186/286/386/486 PC? Is the hard drive failing, made of "unobtainium," too small, or just too valuable to use? Did it not come with or even support a hard drive originally?
This card will enable you to have a bootable, externally removable 2GB solid state drive (SSD) on your vintage PC!
These cards feature:
- 2GB SanDisk Ultra II Compact Flash card preloaded with XTIDE utilities and ready to boot
- Externally accessible Compact flash slot. Using a USB to CF2 converter, this makes moving data between your modern PC and the vintage PC quite easy!
- Slot 8 compatability; just enable the jumper!
- Adjustable mounting bracket that will accommodate the shortest Tandy to the longest IBM and clone slots
- Configured to use 300h for the I/O, and user configurable C0000h, D0000h, E0000h, or F0000h boot ROM addresses
- Clean and appealing layout with a color-matching activity LED.
- If for any reason you aren't 100% satisfied within 30 days, SEND IT BACK FOR A FULL REFUND! I'm WAY into vintage PCs and I understand that things don't always work as expected (International buyers, I cannot offer free return shipping)!
Note: Cetrain IBM 5150's and all 5170's will require a BIOS upgrade in order to utilize this card.
On the 5150's, the "16KB-64KB" systems will require upgrading to the "64KB-256KB" BIOS.
On the 5160's, some work while most don't. Until we find a fix, these systems are incompatible.
On the 5170's, all factory BIOS revisions will have to be upgraded to an AMI, Award or Quadtel BIOS.
Thse cards work 100% in IBM model 25/30, both 8086 and 286 variants, as well as all the Tandy 1000's that support a normal sized ISA card. They also will work in any vintage computer clone, XT or AT as new as they still had ISA slots!
