Description
This licensed William Morris design was first produced in May 1882. It is also sometimes known as Brer Rabbit, inspired by a character in a story that William Morris used to read to his two daughters, Jenny and May Morris. First produced at Merton Abbey, it was originally printed using the Indigo dye technique. It was his friend and college, Philip Webb who drew the birds and rabbits within the design.
This is our 100% cotton cloth, printed in the United Kingdom, perfect for an incredibly wide range of craft projects, including quilting and dress making. We do other weights of fabric in Brother Rabbit, including a heavyweight fabric which is great for curtain and upholstery projects, and a wipe clean pvc fabric. We also print Brother Rabbit in a red colour way.
Measurements: The cotton fabric is 152cm wide, including a white salve edge. The pattern repeat is 18cm. For the fabric length, it's sold by the half metre, so you can choose your length using the quantity box. If you order more than 0.5m in the same order, it will be sent as a continuous length.
Care for your item: You can wash the fabric, please make sure the fabric is washed face to face (to reduce abrasion from the washing machine) on a 30 degree wash. Hang to air dry. As with all natural fibres, cotton will contract so slight shrinkage should be allowed for.

Our cotton fabric is ordered by the half metre, please choose the number of half metres you'd like to order through the 'quantity' box. If you order more than 0.5m in the quantity box, your order will be sent as a continuous length. For example, if you require 1m of cotton fabric, please put '2' in the quantity box. For 2m, enter '4' in the quantity box, and so on in half metre increments.

If you're not happy with your item, please return it to us within 14 days of purchase in it's original condition. Please note that if you've used the item or cut the fabric, we are no longer able to offer a return on your item. The customer is responsible for the safe return on the item, in the original condition, and although we are pleased to offer free postage, we cannot offer free returns.
