Onion - Red Brunswick
This variety produces large, dark red bulbs with quality white flesh. They are late maturing, semi flat, dark red bulbs. They are medium to large in size with excellent flavour. The onions are very decorative, and are great fresh in salads or cooked with pasta.
Sow in modules under cover anytime from January onwards, but the ideal is from mid February to March at 15°C, sowing 6-8 seeds per module. Plant out after hardening off in late spring. Or sow direct in situ in shallow drills 2cm deep with 25-30cm between rows. Thin gradually to 10cm between plants. Always thin carefully and remove all debris so as not to attract onion fly.
