This listing is for a Thorn / EMI Gencom model EMI-9715QAM Vacuum Photodiode / Electron Tube with a Modified Newport model CLM-N Mount. To the right we have a series of photos illustrating a deconstructed view of the entire device.

The 9715QAM itself is very nice and has no scratches or blemishes. If the buyer desires the 9715QAM then it can be removed simply from the housing, and if the housing has application to the buyer then that is a bonus. The housing is an EMI product and bears the model number B-215F.

Though we are unable to find concrete specs for this device there are some specs written on a sheet taped to the housing. It is unknown to us whether these specs were logged at the time of production or from the previous owner. They are as follows:
  • Model: EMI 9715 QAM
  • Serial Number: 5026
  • Type: Vacuum Photodiode
  • Specral Range: 340-840nm
  • HV Cathode (-)

Again these specs do not have a sure foundation so the buyer should rely on it at their own risk. The electron tube itself bears the serial number 5044.
