Sample collected ethically from mouth of the volcano on 3rd August 2008 during licensed expedition touring sites of importance to the geology research laboratories of U.K. Museums and Universities. The sample is dated AD79 from the devastating blast that perished old Pompeii.
The lava rock is complicated in its markings and densities. It is believed to be some of the first expelled by the blast.
It would make an amazing addition to displays in worldwide Museums, universities or dedicated schools. Would be better displayed rather than in our collection. Significant historical importance.
