Midas Custom Brass Shaving Brush #51. Midas Custom Brushes Shaving Brush #51 This is a beast of a brush! It stands 96mm high and weighs from memory around 300g. It is machined from a solid bar of brass using a manual lathe and mill and is shaped in the manner of the Rubberset 400 brushes with five longitudinal flutes. Metal has been machined away internally to reduce the weight, but you still wouldn't want to drop it on your toe. The collar doesn't unscrew. There are many hours of work in this one with a lot of hand finishing, as with all Midas Custom brushes it is individually numbered and is unique. The knot is a good quality silver tip (24mm from memory) that is softer than average.
