Le premier film de Michael ! Long-métrage de Sidney Lumet sorti en 1978, "The Wiz" est le premier film de Michael Jackson. Pendant près de deux heures et en compagnie de Diana Ross, Michael (en épouvantail) chante et danse dans cette comédie musicale orchestrée par Quincy Jones sur le thème du magicien d'Oz et ponctuée de nombreux entractes musicaux. Voici ici un lot d'articles liés à ce film:

  • 1 vinyle au format 33 tours du titre "Ease On Down The Road", le tube planétaire chanté par Michael Jackson en duo avec Diana Ross. Sorti au Royaume-Uni en octobre 1978 par MCA Records (MCA 12-396). En face B : "Poppy Girls".
  • 1 rare programme du film publié en 1978 par Universal City Studios, Inc. Ce livret de 20 pages (30x23cm) regroupe des dizaines de superbes photos couleurs ainsi que tous les détails du film (origines, notes de production, biographies...). Une vraie pièce de collection !

Michael Jackson and Diana Ross star in this fantastic, funfilled spectacular musical based on the smash hit Broadway show which in turn was drawn from L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". In this Motown production, Dorothy (Diana Ross) is a shy Harlem kindergarten teacher who is whisked to a wonderland to follow the yellow brick road. Michael Jackson is the Scarecrow who wants a brain, along with Nipsey Russell as the Tin Man searching for a heart, Ted Ross as the Cowardly Lion, Lena Horne as Glinda the Good Witch and Richard Pryor as the Oz's great wizard. With such a cast, exciting musical numbers and fabulous visual effects, the Wiz will reach every generation of movie-goers. This set includes :

  • 1  x 12" single of the song "Ease On Down The Road" released in the UK in October 1978 (MCA 12-396). B-Side : "Poppy Girls". This duet between Michael Jackson and Diana Ross is a great collector's item, a must for any serious collection.
  • 1 original "The Wiz" movie program (1978, Universal City Studios, Inc) in mint condition. It is about 12"x9" in size and contains about 20 pages of color pictures and details about the movie (history, production notes, biographies...).
