1 x motor + 4 Function OO / HO scale DCC decoder with on-board MTC 21-pin plug complete with large stay alive kit The Stay Alive kit is used to supply power to the decoder during short duration power interruptions due to a dirty track, bad track joints etc
It will power an HO/OO locomotive for approximately 6 to 20 seconds depending on the particular locomotive and efficiency of the motor. The stay alive device has blue and a black wires which attach to the decoder - The blue wire is the positive / DC+ and the black wire is GND.Two pieces of heat shrink wrap are supplied in order to insulate the joints after making the connections to the decoder.
Continuous Max Motor Current: 1A. Recommended maximum motor power is 500mA / 0.5A to allow for all functions being active at 100mA each at same time as motor is running, keeping the total power output to under 1A max. Short Duration Peak Motor Current: 2A Function Output Current Rating: 100mA per output Please ensure these specifications are suitable for your intended locomotive. Decoder Dimensions: 17mm x 17mm x 3mm Large Stay Alive Dimensions: 27mm x 11mm x 8mm NOTE: A medium size (25mm x 9mm x 7mm) or a small size (9mm x 9mm x 14mm) device, both with a running time of 2 to 6 seconds, can also be supplied on request - please leave a message to seller when paying for the item if either of these is required. If no message is left, the large stay alive will be sent. Heat-shrink insulated PCB for trouble-free installation. Supports all NMRA/NEM standard specifications and common programming modes, including consists.
NOTE: This decoder does NOT work with Hornby Select controllers with Firmware versions 1.5 and older and other Basic, non-NMRA compliant controllers, such as Railmaster / eLink, which cannot utilise all the CV's / functions available. High frequency silent / smooth motor control. Switchable for digital DCC or Analogue DC running. 2 or 4 digit addressing / Loco ID 14, 28 or 128 fully programable speed steps. Adjustable motor / back EMF control. Output functions can be fully re-mapped. Fully adjustable lighting effect outputs include constant bright or dim light, random flicker / firebox, Mars light, flashing light, single or double pulse strobe light, rotary beacon, Gyra light, Ditch lights and rule 17 dimming. Decoder settings locking facility. The decoder is supplied programmed to default factory settings ie CV1 / decoder ID=3 but we can supply the decoder pre-programmed with any custom ID / CV values for lighting settings, speed tables etc you may require at no additional cost - simply leave us a note to seller with your CV value requirements when you complete your purchase. All our decoders are live tested by ourselves prior to dispatch.
