Precautions - INADINE dressings should not be used:
- where there is a known iodine hypersensitivity
- before and after the use of radio-iodine
- if you are being treated for kidney problems
- in pregnant and breast feeding women
- in cases of Duhrings herpetiform dermatitis
INADINE non-adherent dressing is a topical wound dressing impregnated with an ointment containing 10% povidone iodine. The dressing also contains polyethylene glycol and purified water.
INADINE dressing is designed to protect the wound, even if infected. INADINE dressing is indicated for the management of ulcerated wounds and may also be used for the prevention of infection in minor burns and minor traumatic skin loss injuries.
It provides a long lasting antiseptic effect, which helps manage infection by bacterial, protozoal and fungal organisms over a period of time. It is suitable for use in adults and children.
