Cleaned off and primed then repainted in satin grey theselamps have not been over restored only the sharp burrs have been removed so thelamps still retain the industrial used look.
Completely and professionally re-wired, with the exceptionof the ceramic lamp holder which has been stripped and cleaned to retain theoriginal look, they work as floor or table lamps (but the table would have tobe sturdy because they’re heavy).
Fitted with an electronic dimmer near to the lamp base, E27Squirrel cage dimmable lamp and 13 amp 3 pin plug fitted and fused to 3 amp. They are also PAT tested for use indoors.
Although these are now intended for indoor use they can beconverted to live outdoors by a competent electrician. If you’d like me to organise that, atadditional cost, please let me know.

Although the exact origins of Heyesand Co. of Water Heyes Electrical Works, Wigan, is not certain, it’s thought thecompany was established in the early part of the 20th century with the firstrecords uncovered being dated 1922. For over 50 years Heyes specialised in thedesign and manufacture of industrial and explosion proof lighting intended foruse in extreme locations such as oil refineries and the mining industry. Then, in1986 the company was acquired by Petrel Ltd and the Heyes name disappeared.
