This is a brand new DMD 1076-6439B DLP  chip. This 6439B revision is the most recent revision of the Texas Instruments S450 1076-6X3XB package which has had the following revisions: 1076-603(8/9)B 2010 Revision 1076-613(8/9)B 2011 Revision 1076-633(8/9)B 2013 Revison 1076-643(8/9)B 2014 Revison The original 2010 revision was flawed and was withdrawn from the market due to a thermal issues. Overheating causing causing a very high mirror seizure failure rate . Seized mirrors cause  white and black spots and is a very common reason these chips are in high demand. Lot of the 2010 chips still out there being sold. To avoid frequent replacement the avoid the 2010 revision. The 2014 revision is the most recent. These are zero hour pulls from a brand new never used DLP projectors. Only time on them would be any quality control @ the manufacturer and my personal inspection that each projector functioned properly before disassembly. Here is the datasheet for this series chip. Note they note that they this Texas Instruments notice posted on all the major distributors: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dlp5500.pdf They state to return withdrawn versions with the lifetime buy and get   free replacement with the new revision but this is only extended to the authorized distributors and the oroginal buyers that buy from those authorized distributors so when this happens all the third party sellers find themselvs with stock they can not sell in the US so they offload to china and resellers there can resell the 6039B,6139B and 6339B market withdrawn versions when they were phased out even though it is not legal to sell withdrawn products as a new component in the US but China sellers are out of their reach most sites like ebay do not have enough resources to weed out people that do this. The 1076-6039B was flawed an had a problem with overheating. The pulled them early and replaced with a temporary fix the 6139B. They worked to fix this design for more than a year and there was no 6239B release. The 6339B was the first revision to properly address the heat issue. This why there is such a high demand for these chips as they fail like clockwork with the older flawed revisions. It is not right selling an item that is known to be flawed and that they only get away with it as they are outside the regulatory reach of the US. The real one is those US resellers that buy them and resell in the US without being informed on the itmes they are selling and the China suppliers would not tell them and risk loosing the sale by being honest while fully konwing that if they get caught they can get fined for every unit they sold stating "NEW" but they don't care. Anyway font let yourself be taken advantage of and be sold a actual 2010 or really a 2011 revisions. Current 2013 withdraw notice and 2014 introduction posted on Mouser. Mouser https://www.mouser.com/PCN/Texas_Instruments_20140331000.pdf These DLP chips are one of the most common ones used in 4x3 projectors built in the last 10 years but since some times they do change during production and the only lists out there are third party(unless you have access to confidential service manuals) I can't give compatibility guarantees with any palatial projector but do recommend if you are going in to fix the unit anyway to pull the chip get the part number off it and if it matches one of the 1076-6X3XB(where X is revision specific 6439B being the current) it will work for you. Also highly suggest if the unit works but with just say dead pixels to then put it back together to get familiar with and that successful completion of the the whole repair process is done without any snags. This way when the new chips arrives and say a lot of time spent tracking down a tiny wire hiding somewhere that did not get plugged back in or similar happens it can be sorted ahead of time. Worst case something happens during the process as some projectors are quite a bit of tearing down to get to the chip some are quite easy.:) I do offer a 60 day return policy on this item as I want you to be confident it will work for you. Please when you submit feedback on this item include the make and model of your projector if not listed below and I will add it to the list.
