Sammunat Nepal is a non-profit organisation formed by a group of friends in 2007 who wanted to help empower women to improve their lives. Their primary aim is to provide legal support, counselling and income generation training to those who are vulnerable to domestic violence, poverty, trafficking and exploitation. Sammunat means ‘to flourish’ and this is the hope for all of the women who go through their program.
Some of the ladies involved in the project are trained to become skilled artisans, producing beautiful polymer clay beads, and that’s where we come in! Purchasing their beads begins a small miracle - enriching the lives of the Nepali women, providing income, education for their children, food, medicine and hope for a brighter future and in return the beads will brighten your life with a little bit of Nepal’s colourful spirit!
Having spent time travelling in Nepal and meeting the extraordinary people living there we wanted to know how we could get involved and help these remarkable women gain safety, security and independence. We are absolutely delighted to be launching the sale of such stunning and unique beads, each one is a gift and a story of one woman’s life.
